Milwaukee Makerspace and the Bay View Neighborhood Association present MAKESGIVING: A Holiday Make-A-Thon!, a FREE community event from 1:00pm-5:00pm on Black Friday (Friday, November 29). After waiting in line and securing your black Friday deals, join us at the Milwaukee Makerspace (2555 S Lenox Street) to learn some new skills and get your craft on. Fill stockings and decorate your home with handcrafted gifts and glamour you and your kids make yourselves at our various activity stations. Volunteer shifts that would be good for non-members are from 1:00pm - 3:00pm as well as 3:00pm - 5:00pm. The shifts are called: "Event Welcome Table" Volunteers at the "Event Welcome Table" greet community members as they enter the building, direct them to the waiver form and provide 10 free activity tickets to every visitor 5 and older. "Creative Snack and Refreshment Station" Volunteers at the ""Creative Snack and Refreshment Station" help attendees select a refreshment and add some holiday cheer to their snack, like colored frosting on a cookie or a cranberry toothpick garnish with juice. The creative and interactive component to our refreshment station is new this year! We are hoping to inspire visitors to get creative with their holiday snacks at home this season.
