Friday October 18th and Saturday October 19th 2013, 6pm to 10pm. Over 800 spooky jack-o-lanterns light up this October weekend. This week-long event gives Bay View residents an opportunity to carve their own creative pumpkins (Wed the 16th 5-9 at Club Garibaldi and Thursday 5-9 at the Humboldt Park Pavilion). The Grand Lighting of the pumpkins at Humboldt Park at 7pm where games, hay rides, face painting, Magician Tom Burgermeister performs 2 shows nightly, fire spinners, a black and white film and costumed attendees all get together to celebrate! The Dick Satan Trio plays at 7pm on Friday, and the Championship plays at 7pm on Saturday.
Hay rides run from 6pm to 9pm, and the cost is $5 for adults, $3 for kids 12 and under.
All of the pumpkins that were generously donated to us by Swan's Pumpkin Farm have been carved and are ready for display. If you'd like to bring your own pumpkin to carve, you are more than welcome to do so! We will put it on display for all to see.
The holiday ends with nighttime Trick-or-Treat on Saturday, October 26th, from 5-8pm.
