Bay View Neighborhood Association 2014 T-Shirt Contest Rules
The Bay View Neighborhood Association, Inc. (“BVNA”) is seeking creative and appealing artwork for the 2014 BVNA T-Shirt. This T-Shirt is seen by thousands of people each year. All entries must include the words “Bay View Neighborhood Association” and should reflect the theme of this year's t-shirt: Celebrating 10 years of Chill on the Hill at Humboldt Park.
The winner’s artwork will be featured on the front of this year’s BVNA T-Shirt, and the winner will receive a one year membership in the BVNA. Additionally, please ensure that your name/mark appears on the design so that everyone who sees it can know it is yours! (this should be discreet, but legible). The winning submission becomes the sole property of the BVNA and may be use for additional promotional purposes.
Judging and Guidelines:
The winning design will be selected by the Board Members of the BVNA, based on the design's visual appeal and ability to clearly and creatively portray the image of the BVNA, as well as the 10th Anniversary of Chill on the Hill.
Limit 5 entries per person.
Contestant agrees that the submission of any entry to the BVNA described in these Rules shall constitute acceptance of all of the Rules.
Contestant represents to the BVNA that it is the sole owner of its entry, and that its entry is free of any restrictions and limitations on its use, reproduction, or publication.
Contestant agrees to work with Membership Chair to add BVNA content and create an uploadable design that meets the format for the 2014 Discount Card within 10days.
Specifics will be provided shortly after the winner is announced.
Winning Contestant hereby grants to the BVNA a non-exclusive, perpetual and worldwide right and license to use, reproduce, adapt, modify and display its entry. Contestant also agrees that the image may only be used by the BVNA.
The BVNA reserves the right to deny any entries for any reason.
No vulgar or obscene material.
Only electronic entries will be accepted. Therefore, while submissions may be of any media, they must be able to be scanned and submitted electronically. In addition, all work must fit the following format guidelines:
300 DPI at actual print size JPG, TIF, PSD, PDF, or AI, EPS at actual print size.
To submit an entry, email it to Jeff McAvoy email@example.com, with “t-shirt contest” in the subject line.
All entries must be received by 5pm on April 15, 2013.
Contestant will indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the BVNA and its directors, officers, members, employees, subsidiaries, agents, successors and assigns from and against any and all claims, expenses, losses, damages, costs, liabilities and judgments, including without limitation reasonable attorneys’ fees and expenses, arising out of or relating to any claim, demand, or action by a third party arising out of any breach of Contestant’s responsibilities or obligations, representations or warranties under these Rules.
Congratulations to the winner of our 2013 t-shirt contest, Adam Radford!
My name is Adam Radford, I am a proud resident of Bay View. I own and operate ‘right.place.designs’ outside of my daily 9-5 as a graphic designer for QPS.
I enjoy stuffing my face at Odd Duck, drowning my sorrows at Club Garibaldi’s and spending my paychecks at ACME Records.
My inspiration for this design was my love for how unique and diverse Bay View is. Having such a close knit, cozy little community just a stone’s throw from the city is what I think makes us so unique.
Come spring, Bay View is always so colorful. Not just the trees, buildings and the lake, but also the people and culture. I just wanted to represent the vibrancy of our growing community on high quality cotton.
The 2013 Bay View T-shirt will be available to purchase for $15 at Chill on the Hill every Tuesday evening at Humboldt Park. Collect them all and wear them with pride!
