We know that Bay View is full of talented musicians. Wouldn't it be great if on August 26th, we all took a minute to share melodies with neighbors? Those of us without musical talent (such as myself) can take a walk and enjoy the sounds of our fellow neighbors and take part in the camaraderie of it all. Let's do this Bay View!

Play Music on the Porch Day is an international day of music. In just 4 years it has grown from a few musicians playing in Highland Park, California to an international event. In
2016 thousands of musicians from at least 17 countries participated, including Mongolia, Algeria and Iran.

2017 promises to be even bigger! Join in and play along with musicians from around the world on the August 26th to celebrate Play Music on the Porch Day.

Participation is easy! Just go outside and play music Participate alone or invite your friends to gather on the porch, in the yard or down on the corner out in the street. Share a video on your favorite social media platform and use#playmusicontheporchday
The passion for music is powerful and universal. It doesn't matter if you play an Oud, an Guitarrón , a Nyckelharpa or a Guitar.
Music ties us together like a thread through our hearts. Our skin is many colors but music is our blood, our bones and our soul.
